Abstract

MARINO, Sueli  and  MACEDO, Rosa Maria S.. Is the Family Constellation systemic?. Nova perspect. sist. [online]. 2018, vol.27, n.62, pp.24-33. ISSN 0104-7841.  https://doi.org/10.21452/2594-43632018v27n62a02.

Bert Hellinger’s Family Constellation is taught as a systemic practice, employed in therapeutic and organizational contexts, and as a specialty of Systemic Law in the judicial system. The objective of this article is to analyze and understand the main theoretical assumptions of the Family Constellation comparing them with those of the New Paradigmatic Systemic Thinking, in order to ratify or point out the differences between them. The analysis made us to conclude that the Family Constellation cannot be considered a systemic practice, but a technique based on the epistemological principles of modern science.

Keywords : Family Constellation; Systemic Family Therapy; Systemic Thinking; Family.
