Abstract

RASERAI, Emerson F.  and  GUANAES-LORENZI, Carla. The therapist as a knowledge producer: social constructionist's contributions. Nova perspect. sist. [online]. 2021, vol.30, n.69, pp. 07-16. ISSN 0104-7841.  http://dx.doi.org/10.38034/nps.v30i69.617.

In Brazil, the communication of the daily knowledge produced by therapists has been neglected, keeping them in the position of a simple knowledge consumer and leaving to a second plan the creative and reflexive feature of his/her practice. Aiming to stimulate therapists to assume their responsibility on sharing knowledge produced in their clinical practice, this essay aims to reflect on the construction of scientific knowledge based on a social constructionist approach. Initially, the contributions of this perspective to the practices of knowledge production are analyzed, explaining its definition of science, of the research objective, of the methods of data collection and analysis. Based on these contributions, the process of writing a clinical case is reviewed, from the selection of the case, through the presentation of its development, to ethical care. We hope that these reflections will allow the production of new intelligibilities about the therapeutic practice based on the speeches and views of the therapists and their clients.
