This article aims to discuss the 23 years' experience of the Family Care Team in Litigation regarding the impact of the dispute between parents in the children's development. We present our team's path, from the beginning to the present day, the initial motivation for the theme, the trail through various institutions of family therapy over the years and the theoretical tripod that sustains us. We highlight our specific goals and present our work methodology. We list some consequences of litigation for the children and illustrate it with small case reports. Finally, we make some questions and reflections on possible solutions. It´s important to emphasize that the teamwork is what sustains the contact with such complex and challenging topics.
