The article discusses, from the experience of the reflective group "Dialogues of Peace", held in São Gonçalo do Amarante - CE, in 2019, the possibilities and challenges in group action with men who commit violence (HAV) against women. The text covers the history of studies, works and intervention in this theme, and debates the theoretical references used between them. In a qualitative exploratory perspective, it deals with the group under analysis as a proposal to promote spaces that problematize the relationship between violence and masculinities. Thus, there are similarities between the method adopted in the experience with the constructivist-narrative contribution with a gender perspective. It appears, then, that the space produced an approach of integral understanding of the participating men, not limiting them to their violent acts. After the analysis, considerations are fundamental to approach this theme in a preventive way, enhancing an intersectoral action, which broadens the gender debate by the various social training spheres.
