Abstract

RIBES-INESTA, Emilio. Hermeneutics or heuristics? Field theory and Aristotelian concepts: Response to Ricardo Pérez-Almonacid. Acta comport. [online]. 2015, vol.23, n.1, pp. 47-54. ISSN 0188-8145.

It is emphasized how difficult is a faithful interpretation of Aristotelian writings due to the loss of the original works, to the diversity of translations, and to linguistic and cultural differences in time. It is pointed out that the treatises on the soul are not strictly psychological, but rather related to biology. Even so, they have a great influence in the logics of the interbehavioral model. It is shown how Aristotelian concepts on causality have a relevant heuristic value in process analysis for behavior theory.

Keywords : Aristotelian writings; hermeneutics; heuristics; soul; causality.
