Abstract

SOLIS-UMANA, Mario. Microsociología de la interacción y constitución del sí mismo en la vivencia comunitaria neopentecostal. Actual. psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.22, n.109, pp. 19-42. ISSN 0258-6444.

This article deals with processes of self-identity constitution in neopentecostal religious interaction. The proposed dialogue between microsociology, anthropology and social psychology underlying the exploration is an invitation to face an interdisciplinary discussion regarding social phenomena, and specifically the phenomenon of self constitution and the construction of meaning in localized religious interaction. By means of a triangular methodology -interview, observation and discourse analysis- this study found interactive trends and dynamics showing a transferred, uprooted self, surpassed by such interactive dynamics. The study shows that event-interaction overrides socially-referred interaction via a transcendental/emotional imaginary. This study also shows that hierarchical principles recurred in every point of self constitution and the construction of community.

Keywords : Identity; Social interaction; Microsocial analysis; Social reference; Sense construction; Transcendent/emotive imagination; Pentecostalism.
