In the last years there has been a scientific and social growing interest in the study of the mobbing or psychological abuse in the workplace, being deepened in aspects such as their delimitation or prevention. The aim of this theoretical work is to carry out an exhaustive revision of the existent research in this field, showing the different approaches and theoretical models and aspects such as the mobbing components, its antecedents or the form in that this phenomenon has been historically measured. In the same way, this study also offers an approach about the theoretical-methodological difficulties in the study of the mobbing, standing out different problems as its cultural component, its subjectivity, the relevancy of considering to third, the high invisibility of its behaviours or the vague in its frequency. Thus, it is sought to contribute to an optimization of the efforts for the present and future investigation on the phenomenon.
