This paper’s goal is to present a condensation of some ideas developed by J. Press in his “rapport” at the 68th French Language Psychoanalysts Conference, that had “Constructions in Analysis” as its main theme. The recognition of the tragic dimension in the escape movement related to unthinkable nucleus as well as strong implications in the transference/countertransference game are the author’s starting point in order to re-think the clinic and metapsychological references in working with so-called difficult patients, non-neurotic psychosomatic pathologies and borderline patients.
