Abstract

KEZEM, Jane. Ferenczi and Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2010, vol.44, n.2, pp. 23-28. ISSN 0486-641X.

The author believes that Freud's letter, dated December 13th, 1931, if detached from the context of his time, loses the essence of its meaning. It belongs to a period of Ferenzci's productivity that will definitely mark him as the forerunner of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, as well as marking the exact period separating Classical Psychoanalysis from Psychoanalysis of Today. She considers that although Ferenczi's name has been closely linked to psychoanalytic technique, and particularly the active technique, this was lost in his path. His biggest contribution may have been bringing to light the human that exists in every professional dedicated to the practice of psychoanalysis, the human being wrought by the very clinical practice.

Keywords : contemporary psychoanalysis; elasticity of technique; tact; "feel with".
