Abstract

VIDILLE, Wagner Francisco. Anthropology attacks narcissism. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2010, vol.44, n.4, pp. 31-34. ISSN 0486-641X.

The author, upon commenting on a text by the anthropologist Eduardo Viveiros Castro, emphasizes the importance of the use of Freudian concepts (Narcissism, Unconscious, the foreign, Familiarity) as a contribution to the new line of theory regarding anthropological observation (fields of Philosophy of Ethnology), as proposed by the lecturer. This new view on the object, having less "self-love", aims to reduce the influences of self-reference.
