GRANA, Roberto Barberena. Transitional dialogue in the psychoanalysis of children: Clinical implications of a conceptual redescription. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2010, vol.44, n.4, pp. 109-124. ISSN 0486-641X.
This study seeks to clinically exemplify a proposal for psychoanalytic practice which underprivileges, and eventually dispenses, the interpretative activity as it was - steering away from the Freudian model - described and employed by analysts of children, both kleinian and annafreudian, along the previous century. Directing his criticism to the significationist prejudice which imposes the interpretation of the deep unconscious of the child in order to create opportunities for the production of insights, the author relies on the contributions of Ferenczi, Winnicott and Lacan to emphasize the importance of the notions of presence, playing, intervention and interregnum, with the intention of ensuring the clinical effectiveness of analytical work during the years of childhood.
