Abstract

SAVIETTO, Bianca Bergamo. “This body (of mine), to whom does it belong?”: Metapsychological and clinical considerations on drug addiction. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2011, vol.45, n.4, pp. 57-68. ISSN 0486-641X.

The aim of this paper is to reflect upon the “intoxication” and dependence characteristic to the body/psyche of the subject addicted to drugs, as well as about the challenges to the constitution of an analyzing situation that should house that subject - and about possibilities of constituting such an analyzing situation. The reflection will be developed through the appreciation of metapsychological elaborations and especially the subsequent articulation between such elaborations and some fragments of a clinical case.

Keywords : drug addiction; dependence; “intoxication”; analyzing situation.
