Capitalism has shown itself, in the modern world, not only as an economic system, but as an authentic civilization, most precisely the first worldwide civilization in History. In radical opposition to every civilization which preceded it, capitalism engendered an anti-community mentality in societies, founded on egotistic materialism, on the superposition of the private interest over the public interest, and on the use of economic power in a disguised or hidden way.
