Abstract

THONES, Ana Paula Bellochio  and  ROSA JR, Norton Cezar Dal Follo da. The crossing over of character building: possible approximations between theater and psychoanalysis. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.3, pp. 200-212. ISSN 0486-641X.

The present article intends to establish a relationship between the actor's artistic creation and the creation which is carried out by the patient in analysis, intertwining the knowledge of psychoanalysis and theater. To such an end, a review of the artistic creation is done according to psychoanalytic theories. Sublimation, to which the artistic creation is attributed, is discovered to occur at different moments. From the moment of creation, Stanislavski's theory about character building is brought, asserting that it is from the experiences and desires of the actor himself that the character gains life. Through this, the patient's creation in analysis is considered, as the patient can also create a "character" to represent himself.

Keywords : artistic creation; sublimation; character; psychoanalytic practice.
