Resumen

AYOUCH, Thamy. Method and madness of theorising in psychoanalysis: a quest for figurability. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2013, vol.47, n.1, pp. 83-96. ISSN 0486-641X.

This article aims to examine how the logics of knowledge and desire are intertwined in theoretical writing. If psychoanalysis intends to reveal the drives underlying every perspective of knowledge and the metaphysical or even pathological dimension of the very act of theorisation, how can this exact theoretical construction be free of this critique? This paper gives an account of the discourse position of psychoanalytical theory, dealing with its critique of knowledge and inscribing its specificity in enunciation. The value of enunciation will appear through the metaphor. Through a constant parallel between cure and analytical writing, the metaphor enables the articulation of theorisation, fiction and analytical practice.

Palabras clave : theorisation; affectivity; madness; method; psychoanalytical discourse; metaphor.
