Abstract

BLEICHMAR, Silvia  and  BERLINER, Claudia. Psychoanalytic practice and enigmatic message. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2013, vol.47, n.3, pp. 41-50. ISSN 0486-641X.

This paper has as its axis the idea postulated by Jean Laplanche about realism of the unconscious, due to the exogenous and non-subjective nature of its origin. An exogeneity which passes through the other and which characterizes the beginning of the psychic life as exciting and traumatic. The author presents Laplanche's proposal that, between the adult and the child, due to the asymmetry of knowledge of the originating situation, unconscious messages of sexual signification circulate and are perceived by the child as enigmatic. Through two clinical cases, it is shown that the enigma presents itself as a traumatism partly due to the asymmetry of knowledge between the child and the adult and partly due to the psychic cleavage in the adult who sends the message, which exposes an asymmetry of knowledge between the adult and himself. In this sense, the author discusses the possibilities of the translation of the other's message.

Keywords : Jean Laplanche; enigmatic messages; metabola; seduction theory.
