Abstract

The following article approaches the question about why Freud is still worth reading and recognizes two trends in the understanding of the history of the psychoanalytic movement which have different effects on the interest in Freud's writing. The author considers a revitalized reading of Freud as being fundamental to contemporary psychoanalysis.
