The author examines points of changes in her way of thinking and working in psychoanalysis in the last three decades, realizing that these changes also occurred in the development of psychoanalytic knowledge. To examine this situation in her experience, she refers to a case dated thirty years ago and fragments of her current work. She complements this examination with reflections on her vision of the mental world and the changes it underwent during this time.
