A group of psychoanalysts from SBPSP becomes aware of the increase in the number of themes related to virtual communication in their weekly clinical encounters. Thus, it becomes necessary to reflect based on the experience of each member and on the available literature. Authors such as Giovanetti, Dorado de Lisondo, Guignard and Sharff contribute to the discussion from a psychoanalytic point of view, as well as Novaes and Franklin Silva, through a philosophical approach. Several clinical vignettes are presented.
