The author discusses an interview with Yolanda Gampel, stressing the relevance of analytical listening of victims of extreme traumatic situations, and highlighting and discussing several studies and psychoanalytic interventions that illustrate the importance of this approach in the search of possible mentalizations and symbolizations.
