Abstract

MUSZKAT, Susana. Neosexualities and the discussion of the binary model. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2014, vol.48, n.4, pp. 106-112. ISSN 0486-641X.

The author proposes a reflection on the so-called neosexualities and attempts to: (1) identify motives for their more expressive manifestations in current times, based on a historical, cultural and psychological contextualization; (2) discuss the repercussions of such transformations in the construction of subjectivity as well as their impacts on family links; (3) approach how the questioning of the familiar binary model of sexuality requires the psychoanalyst, committed to a true analytical function which is open to investigation, to displace himself from theories, running the risk of questioning consolidated psychoanalytical theories.

Keywords : neosexualities; expanded psyche; binary model; complexities; new forms of links.
