Abstract

LISONDO, Alicia Beatriz Dorado de. Distance Psychoanalysis. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2015, vol.49, n.1, pp. 136-150. ISSN 0486-641X.

The author questions the use of new technologies as a standard in patient treatment. She accepts their use in acute, exceptional circumstances. She metapsychologically underlies the difficulties in going deep into Primitive Sates of Mind, expressed through pre-verbal, non-verbal language, sometimes inaccessible to symbolic verbalization. Free association arises from Freud's neurotic model. Nonneurotic patients, in the contemporary world, have required an unprecedented, intimate and face-toface relationship, where sensorial manifestations can be dreamed, intuited, understood and changed by the analyst. The author is opposed to the use of these technologies by future analysts. Clinical vignettes illustrate this work.

Keywords : distance psychoanalysis; Primitive States of Mind; analytical formation; contemporary psychoanalysis.
