Abstract

MENEZES, Luís Carlos. Is the analyst's anguish the same as the analysand's anguish?. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2015, vol.49, n.2, pp. 13-21. ISSN 0486-641X.

This paper was presented during a meeting about the seminar of Lacan on the subject of the anguish in analysis. The idea of the anguish in analysis was developed by him regarding the concept of object a. It is about a clinical case of phobia of contact, particularly vivid in the psychoanalytic situation. Some of the observed results enabled the author to relate this analysis to Lacan's thinking and, at the same time, to the Freudian idea of actual neurosis (in the core of psychoneurosis).

Keywords : anguish (angst); Oedipus complex; object a; actual neurosis.
