Resumen

FRAYZE-PEREIRA, João. Abject forms in the clinical psychoanalysis and the contemporary art: the question of its reception. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2015, vol.49, n.2, pp. 22-36. ISSN 0486-641X.

An experience with a patient affected by a psychosomatic disease led me to some manifestations of contemporary art. On the field of esthetic reception, these manifestations elicit attitudes that express negative evaluations. They are viewers' attitudes towards artists who are willing to deal with their own bodies in order to compose scenes and objects that are considered abject or nonsense. This disturbing situation, which is analogous to a nightmare, is presented not from the artist's viewpoint but from the viewer's viewpoint. How to interpret this kind of resonance on the level of reception?

Palabras clave : abjection; body; clinical psychoanalysis; practice; contemporary art; esthetic (aesthetic) reception.
