This paper has the purpose of thinking about the adolescents' place in the psychoanalytic clinical practice. This study emphasizes the way the failure of the Other caused by puberty may lead the subject to severe symptomatic responses. To that end and starting from two other short treatments provided by Freud (Dora's and the Young Homosexual's Case), the author will examine the beginning of a 17-yearold adolescent psychoanalysis and her suicidal thoughts.
