This paper exposes some of the conclusions on our research into the relationship between psychosis, superego, and Lacan's notion of the Other. Our purpose is to write some considerations on the concept of superego, and these considerations have been built upon Schreber's case. We use this case as a clinical vignette, and we start from the paradox of imperative manifestations on psychosis - which are phenomenologically of the superego - and the maintenance of the Oedipus complex (which has not been dissolved) within that structure. We shall question whether (or not) we may consider a part of superego in the field of psychosis, and we shall explain the conditions that enable this situation.
