The authors start this paper from scenes which describe a situation they experienced while working as part of the Psychosocial Attention Network of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The purpose is to discuss movements related to exile and possibilities of repatriation. The study takes into consideration a large range of variables, from productions that emerge from encountering the other-foreigner to resources within public mental health policy.
