LAMANNO-ADAMO, Vera L. C.. Boredom, mourning, and melancholia. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2017, vol.51, n.3, pp. 79-89. ISSN 0486-641X.

In order to characterize boredom, both a patient and a philosopher - the Norwegian philosopher Lars Svendsen - have used the same poem by Fernando Pessoa. This curious coincidence has encouraged the author to understand boredom in the psychoanalytic field and to summarize the main aspects of this state. Freud's formulations on mourning and melancholia, and Bion's concept of enforced cleavage are the foundations of this study.
