Abstract

WEISSMANN, Lisette. Family compositions and filiation in contemporary times. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2017, vol.51, n.4, pp. 159-172. ISSN 0486-641X.

The article points out the contemporary family and its characteristics. Cultural and social models function as the background for the changes in the relationships within the 21st century family - in the bonds and functions of the family. The article focuses on filiation as a process of taking the filial place, and establishes four different categories within the offspring function. The author uses the Mariana Zaffaroni's case in order to illustrate these categories.

Keywords : contemporary family; family functions; filiation.
