Abstract

GONCALVES, Cidiane Vaz; MAGALHAES, Andrea Seixas  and  CARNEIRO, Terezinha Féres. Communication and intersubjectivity in D. W. Winnicott. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2018, vol.52, n.1, pp. 129-144. ISSN 0486-641X.

D. W. Winnicott's contribution to communication is very original and it especially relates to empathy, to emotional experiences and perception, and to silence. In this paper, we discuss Winnicott's idea of communication by taking into consideration his propositions to the theory of intersubjectivity. To this end, we have analyzed Winnicott's articles whose subject matter is communication. Some theoretical categories of analysis emerged from the investigation of his work. We have selected few of them, as it follows: communication in the stage of absolute dependence; communication and the relationship with objects; two types of noncommunication; and communication in the therapeutic proposals of Winnicott.

Keywords : communication; Winnicott; intersubjectivity.
