Abstract

LERNER, Rogério  and  GUIRADO, Marlene. Institutional study of the treatment of a child diagnosed as autistic. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2018, vol.52, n.2, pp. 161-177. ISSN 0486-641X.

In this paper, the author uses the method of Institutional Analysis of Discourse to study how to build a clinical case in an institution of psychoanalytic care for autistic children. The author investigates what principles underlie this construction and what principles are the base of relationships, both among professionals and between these professionals and their clients or between these professionals and those from other institutions. This proposal is original, as well as the fact that the researcher is part of the institution's team. The author has analyzed two kinds of material: a) interviews with members of the institution; b) clinical reports, made by the researcher himself after the visits, and reports of the supervision of some of these visits, which was performed by the reference professional of the institution. In the development of treatment scenes, psychoanalytic discourse is hegemonic, but not exclusive; there were oppositions and tensions among the different types of discourse that are part of the institution. The author discusses the results of these confrontations.

Keywords : autism; psychoanalysis; institutional analysis of discourse.
