Abstract

VALE, Keyla Carolina Perim  and  BORGES, Luana Silva. From cockroaches to termites: literature and figurability. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2020, vol.54, n.1, pp. 171-185. ISSN 0486-641X.

This work aims at presenting figurability as a resource to the psychoanalytic technique. The analysis of the imaginary construction of the story The fifth story, by Clarice Lispector, allows an analogy to the images and synesthesia that occur in the psychoanalysis office to a patient who is almost 100 years old, here called Dona Menina. The cuts of the analysis sessions, permeated by figurability, show how the analysand talks about her de-in, in a struggle to revive herself, even in old age. In this article, literature and psychoanalysis are joined in the attempt of talking about the unnamed anguishes and people. The theoretical scope used was Grotstein, Ogden and Gutfreind, among others.

Keywords : figurability; clinic; literature.
