ABSTRACT Starting from a short account of the author's personal experience of changing from the face-to-face setting to an online setting during the pandemic, some initial questions are asked in order to think about the psychoanalytical process that is established in this new therapeutical way. Several passages from the book Lectures on Technique by Melanie Klein edited by J. Steiner (2017) about countertransference and projective identification are quoted, also enriched by contributions by E. Spillius. At the end, some clinical vignettes are presented and discussed, in light of the topics presented above.
