Supervision is a fundamental element of the tripod of training - personal analysis, supervision, seminars - on which all analytic currents after Freud have agreed. But the function of supervision remains problematic, and the works that attempt to establish it are particularly few in number compared to those that deal with the analysis of the analyst or with teaching. This text attempts to identify what might be its specificity.
