This paper is a description of the experience lived by an analyst who undergoes training in one of IPA associated Institutes, related to the supervision process. It points out impasses and gains from the supervision process. Based on the association with the concept of English garden, this paper highlights that the supervision process may enable a live, creative, and spontaneous exchange between supervisor and supervised through the path taken. While supervision exposes the analyst's anxiety and fears, it allowed the development of the supervised, mainly in a way of enhancing elaborations in the setting of the supervised own analysis.
