Abstract

IGNACIO CELEDON, José; OLIVARES, Daniella; RAMIREZ, Héctor  and  VENTURA, Karina. Cultura lésbica en Chile: Una nueva construcción de género incluyente. Cuad. neuropsicol. [online]. 2007, vol.1, n.3, pp. 303-310. ISSN 0718-4123.

Society builds through its conservative practices a reality that has been naturalized and where homosexual tendencies have no space. Lesbians are marginalized; giving signs of a fracture in the social system and its order. The daily practices of lesbians and the re-elaboration of the past of their group were analyzed under the lens of social constructionism. The proposal of a construction of an inclusive genre and their ethical, political and social invisibility gives account of the synchronic memory of this group and its reason of existence. The responsibility of psychology should not limit itself to giving a individualized and decontextualized service, comprehending that there isn’t just one truth, therefore, not only one way of seeing and living sexuality.

Keywords : Latin american social psychology; Memory; Lesbianism.
