The psychometrics properties of the Scale of Attitudes Towards the Statistic (EAE, Auzmendi, 1992) are evaluated on an accidental sample of 168 students of psychology of Chilean universities. The results obtained by means of confirmatory factorial analysis using the method of principal axis factoring components with equamx rotation, give a 4 factors solution and an explained variance of 48,90%. The internal consistency is 0.85. An adequate discrimination capacity of the Items was found. According to the consistency of results with studies done in Spain by the original authors of the Scale, the data suggest the necessity to develop a study by a confirming factorial analysis with a probabilistic sample and the application of the scale in the national educative context.
