The philosophy of mind studies the link between mind and brain. In this context there are several positions classified as monism, dualism and what others call intermediate positions. This paper tries to discuss the main theories of physics, especially quantum, which attempted to study consciousness and the mind-brain problem. Finally we try to link these contributions with findings on the neural basis of consciousness and different philosophical aspects of mind-brain interaction.
