Abstract

RAMIREZ, María Teresa. Things that are carried in the backpack: Power in Spanish rural occupy communities. Summa psicol. UST (En línea) [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.1, pp. 49-64. ISSN 0718-0446.

In this text I present some reflections on the discourses that aim to generate an alternative to the hegemonic model proposed by neoliberalism. For this, I focus on the discourse about the power of a group of people linked to the Spanish rural occupation movement. Beginning from the motivations of people in this group to find a way of daily life alternative to hegemonic one and difficulties, centered on the community itself, with which they have been found to do. From here, I discuss the ideas that they have about the power, using interpretative framework Foucault's theory. Then I focus on the way this group seeks to overcome these difficulties, mainly related to the "individual recognition" of emotions. On this point I end up with some critical reflections linked to concepts like technologies of the self and subjectification.
