Animal Assisted Therapy nowadays represents a new option for treating different kind of illness, mental or emotional. The current study pretends to investigate the existence of a relationship between the animal- human bond and the way this affects people perception and benefits of using the AAT as a treatment. This study took place with university students in Mexico City. After the study, it was found that there is a statistically significant relationship between the Animal-Human bond and the attitude towards using the AAT as a formal treatment.
