Abstract

SERRANO, Mario; CAMACHO, Isaac  and  CARPIO, Claudio. Intervalos entre ensayos de distinta duración en igualación de la muestra demorada con reforzamiento independiente de la respuesta. Altern. psicol. [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.20, pp. 58-67. ISSN 1405-339X.

Two groups of pigeons were exposed to a matching to sample procedure with progressive delay between sample stimulus and comparison stimulus (SS-CS delay). In one group, the sample stimuli were differentially correlated with inter-trial intervals of different durations. In the other group duration of the inter-trial interval was always the same regardless of sample stimulus submitted. In both groups accuracy decreased while SS-CS delay increased, although this effect was lower in the group with inter-trials interval of different durations. Additionally, in the last group, differential response rate for each sample stimuli were observed. The similarity of these results with those obtained with other experimental procedures is discussed.

Keywords : Matching to sample; SS-CS delayed; Response- independent reinforcement; Intertrial interval; Pigeons.
