This article deals with the issue of depression within the work context in the view of bank and trade workers in the city of Passo Fundo. To conduct this investigation, during the process of collecting and analyzing data, the theoretical-methodological reference from the Social Representation Theory was used with two focus groups and six individual interviews. Under this perspective the aim was to understand what was the link established by the workers between work and depression.
