Abstract

WACHELKE, João F. R. et al. Concepts and practices adopted by researchers in organizational and work psychology. Aletheia [online]. 2005, n.21, pp. 7-19. ISSN 1413-0394.

The present study aimed at describing the research activities executed by researchers on organizational and work psychology in the state of Santa Catarina. The considered aspects were the psychological phenomena investigated by researchers, the types of procedures and instruments employed with greater frequency, the groups studied, the name given to the area by researchers and its definition. Twenty-seven researchers linked to 13 universities from Santa Catarina participated of the study, either in the condition of post-graduation students or professor. Even though it was verified that there is a prevalence of behavioral elements in the state of Santa Catarina's psychology of organizations and work, results could not reflect an evident identity of local research in the area. Nevertheless, it is important to underline the investigation's exploratory nature.
