Abstract

The family’s interactions and the available resources in the domestic environment have showed great relevance in research about child development supported by the ecological approach of Bronfenbrener. The present study describes aspects of family environments and the available resources for child development in 19 families of children enrolled the initial series of basic education of a private school located in Ivatuva-Paraná. The families answered open and closed questions. The data revealed favorable environmental conditions for child development.
