GIL MONTE, Pedro R.; CARRETERO, Noelia; DESAMPARADOS ROLDAN, Maria  e  CARO, Marcos. Pilot study of prevalence of mobbing among people working with intellectually disabled persons. Aletheia [online]. 2006, n.23, pp. 07-16. ISSN 1413-0394.

The main goal of this study is to analyse the prevalence of mobbing in a sample of people working with intellectually disabled (67 workers composed the sample). It was applied a questionnaire with 30 items about mobbing actions, adapted from the Leymann Inventory Psychological Terrorization (LIPT) (Leymann, 1999) and the Negative Acts Questionnaire (NAQ) (Einarsen & Hoel, 2001). The results shown that 25,37% (17 subjects) meet the criteria of mobbing definition, taking into consideration the frequencies and duration of mobbing action. Moreover, organizational activities were more frequently designed to discredit the employee. In the more severe cases (10,45%&, n=7), when the frequencies are higher that "several times a week", the activities were directed to limit the possibilities to communicate adequately and the possibilities to maintain social contacts.
