Abstract

NERY, Maria da Penha  and  COSTA, Liana Fortunato. Challenges for an epistemology of group research. Aletheia [online]. 2007, n.25, pp. 123-138. ISSN 1413-0394.

The article explains the subjectivist/constructivist/interpretative paradigm of research on human and social sciences. For the study of this reality, the researcher deals with the epistemology of qualitative and group research and faces challenges to enhance and develop research methods which may enlarge the knowledge of relational phenomena. The text presents Socionomy, Psychodrama and Sociodrama as a theoretical-methodological support that produces an active research in which the comprehension of collective cultural syndromes is connected with their treatment. It is intended to include contexts which have been out of latest researches such as the communitarian, small groups, family groups, socially excluded groups, children and adolescents exposed to violence situation, sexual abuse, street situation or in conflict with justice.

Keywords : Qualitative research; Epistemology; Groups; Socionomy; Psychodrama.
