Abstract

JORDAO, Aline Bedin. Family bonds in adolescence: nuance and vicissitude in psychoanalytical clinic with teenagers. Aletheia [online]. 2008, n.27, pp. 157-172. ISSN 1413-0394.

This paper approaches the teenager process from a psychoanalytical view, articulating theoretical matters with clinical situations. Starting from a literature revision and its articulation with clinical cases seen in private psychology's office, some issues related to this changing moment are shown, pointed out by several authors, related mostly to the teenagers separation-individuation movement, their unidentifications, neoidentifications, subjective readapting and narcissistic aspects that transit in the teenagers' relationship with their parents. The construction of their own projects and ideals is seen as a challenging and painful "mission", however necessary to the soul requested and feared autonomy. It has still been argued, the place and the position of the analyst in the teenagers' treatment, and the psychoanalysis´ contribution for these patients and their families.

Keywords : Adolescence; Family bonds; Adolescent psychoanalysis.
