Abstract

SILVA, Jardel Sander da. Psychology and epistemology: trough an ethical perspective for the potency of life. Aletheia [online]. 2008, n.27, pp. 222-232. ISSN 1413-0394.

This paper discusses the fundamental epistemological questions involving psychology as a science of the human being subjectivity. This work makes a critical and contemporary inquiry on these questions, checking Psychology's verification of an epistemological approval that apart the subject of knowledge from an object to be known. The consequence of such think would be both stagnation. We choose, therefore, a critical position defending the Psychology specificity, finding in an ethical evaluation a possibility of knowing through movement and change, reaching thus a more useful perspective to Psychology, contributing to the potency of life.

Keywords : Epistemology; Ethics; Psychology.
