Abstract

PENSO, Maria Aparecida; COSTA, Liana Fortunato; ALMEIDA, Tânia Mara Campos de  and  RIBEIRO, Maria Alexina. Intrafamiliar sexual abuse under the perspective of the marital and familiar relations. Aletheia [online]. 2009, n.30, pp. 142-157. ISSN 1413-0394.

This qualitative research discusses the sexual abuse against children and adolescents done by their own father. The subjects are: 4 families with children from 3 to 9 years old and one adolescent of 13 years old. The instruments: observation of the interactions and dialogues taken place during the Multifamiliar Group; semi-structured interview done during home visit and the construction of the Genogram. The results were interpreted by the analysis of the constructive-interpretative content: three sense zones were construed: To take care is to abuse; Rather in bad company than alone and After every thing that happened I keep on loving my father. The interfamily sexual abuse must be studied under the perspective of a triangle constituted by the father, the mother and the victim. The children are ambivalent towards whom they love but who make them suffer; mothers fail when protecting the daughters; and fathers regard their daughters as an object of personal satisfaction.

Keywords : Interfamily sexual abuse; Incest; Family.
