RUEDA, Fabián Javier Marín; SISTO, Fermino Fernandes; CUNHA, Cláudia Araújo da  and  RAAD, Alexandre José. Study about the response process of a memory test. Aletheia [online]. 2010, n.31, pp.26-38. ISSN 1413-0394.

The response process of The Teste Pictórico de Memória (TEPIC-M) classified the items into three sequential categories (sky, land and water). So, it was hypothesized that the day-by-day familiarity with the sea by the people (Aracaju-group A) could ease their recovering of item of water grouping, when comparing with people that who not have that daily experience (Uberlândia-group B). 858 college students, aging 18 to 68 years old, of both sexes collectively answered the test. First of all, the hypothesis was not confirmed, and the group B obtained higher scores than the group A. Besides, all categories presented significant differences between both groups, always group B showing the best performance. Finally, the group A presented unexpectedly the sequence land, sky and water differentiating itself of all groups related in the Manual.
